Our Lady of Fatima, rescued a sinner like me in 1994
The Pilgrim Statue was on its travels around the world and came to Melbourne Australia for a week
I reluctantly went, only because some one else wanted to go, but he did not want to go on his own.
There were a lot of International people there as well as the largest group from Australia
this applied to Priests and Religious, both male and female. as well as the Laity
Rosary, Mass and Reconciliation or Confession was an every day experience, to be acted upon or not as seemed fit at the time.by the recipients.
There were interesting people to meet and talk with, but I became more and more concerned by my own inability to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist, because of the sinful condition of my immortal soul.
I listened to other peoples Testimonials, and was truly amazed by their humility and openess, about their past demeanours, which were obviously with heart felt words, now "confessing"
The Love of God was palpable in the Auditorium, all the while, the serene and beautiful face of the Ever Virgin Mary seemed to smile contenedly and warmly out over her "children" sitting or kneeling before her., remebering the Life and Death of her adored, and only son ,Jesus Christ
This is all I am going to write about, for the minute.
By the grace of God I will add some more tomorrow.
